The making of sigils in half the fun. The most common form of sigil is created by melding together the first letter in each
word of a phrase until the combined letters become a single symbol. For instance, if you need to remove difficult obstacles
from your life, you might write the phrase "To Overcome Obstacles In My Way". Then you'd take the first letter in
each word:
T O O I M W
And put them together to form a sigil. Any time a letter appears twice in a sigil, the second letter can be traced over
the first. The step-by-step proccess might look a bit like this:
The completed sigil can then be charged with energy and used as a spell component. My favorite method is to charge the symbol,
then burn it in a sacred fire to release its energies into the Universe. By itself, a sigil can be carried on the person,
stored in a secret place, or traced on an object such as a wall, door, window or ritual tool.
Sigils can also be used as a sort of personal seal. Your initials can be combined the same way to create your own personal
symbol. For example, my sigil is made of my Magickal name's initials, K and E.
There are an infinite number of sigils for an infinite number of intents. Below I've added a few of the sigils I've created.
Some I've made for myself, and some were for others who requested my help. Although you are free to use these symbols as your
own, it would be much more meaningful if you invented your own. All it takes is a little creativity.
