My sanctuary consists of an herbal workshop, which is designed for the drying, storage and utilization of the many Magickal and medicinal herbs that I gather in the deep forest. A Magickal cupboard there is too, filled with spellcasting and ritual tools and animal totems. Jars and jars of powders, salves, tinctures, potions and philters adorn the walls, along with a myriad assortment of dried herbs and plants, ready for use. Cloth charm bags hang from the ceiling, lending their power to my Sacred Space and absorbing the excess energy in the air. The focal point of the sanctuary is a twelve by twelve oaken portable Altar, which rests on a 200-year old hand made antique chest. Soft music and whispered chants float on the air like pollen on the breeze, thanks to a hidden CD player that perpetually plays a large assortment of downloaded sacred music. The air is thick and heady with the scent of flowers, plants and incense, and the surreal atmosphere of the place seems to make time stand still....
